How does your website look?
It looks perfect, doesn’t it? All fits perfectly within your computer screen. Well, it should, it’s been designed specifically to look great when viewed on a computer.
But what happens when you print out a page from your site?
Does it print all those heavy graphics and use up expensive ink? Why are you letting it do that? You know it annoys people! Don’t worry, it is an easy fix with CSS style sheets. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are a simple mechanism for adding styles (e.g. fonts, colours, spacing) to Web documents.
Bottom line:
You can pre-determine what your website will look like when it gets printed. You can specify a nice white margin space, choose the size of header text and even what’s on the page that’s not to be printed. (more…)
