For the second year in a row the leading forces at October 17 Media and Syntric Design are teaming up to find a cure for breast cancer. Our two fearless leaders, Tamara Brooks and Brenda Cadman have entered themselves in this years 2008 Vancouver Run For The Cure race.

With a combined fundraising goal of $1500 these women have high hopes of creating a future without breast cancer.

Last year they were both affected by the race and resolved to do even more the following year. Tamara reported how “The race was emotionally moving last year, I felt this incredible sadness writing my grandmother’s name on my piney”. Both women have been touched by breast cancer. Brenda’s friend’s mother sadly passed away and Tamara’s grandmother died from the disease.

Brenda added “It’s a disease that seems to affect everyone in some way… we all know someone who’s lost a loved one.”
