Mike Dejardins blogger at ViRTUS
At October 17 Media we install blogs for our clients and they all have the best of intentions to update, promote and interact with their blogs from the start. But after a few posts the excitement usually wanes and the content quality and frequency inevitably starts to lag.

So, we’ve found a relatively new-to-the scene Vancouver blogger (his first post was November 4th, 2008), but he’s done an excellent job of staying on top of regular blogging and promoting his blog. We’re hoping this exceptional blogger will help motivate and inspire you to GET BLOGGING!

Internet Marketing Health Check

I digress.

I found this really cool free internal linking plugin for wordpress.

When you write/edit a post, you’ll see “Custom linked keywords for this post” section below the post area. That’s where you add your words and desired URL location.

Need help installing it? Or just need a blog? give us a yelp!.

Making a blog post? Don’t forget the internal linking SEO strategy!

One of the major elements of SEO that’s often undervalued is internal linking. When done right, internal linking not only encourages visitors to stay longer on your website, but more importantly, it can improve your search engine rankings.

So, content is key. Link within your content!

Anchor text is the highlighted text when your mouse hovers over a link. Often when people think about linking strategies, they focus on improving and increasing their number of inbound links and they pay special attention to what the anchor text communicates.

But this isn’t the only type of linking strategy you should count on. Rather, contextual *internal* links can also be effective in helping to improve a site’s ranking for certain keywords and phrases.
