Who We Are
October 17 Media Inc is co-owned by business partners Tamara Brooks and Brenda Cadman and was born out of successful Vancouver design firm Syntric Design.
Between the two of them, Tamara and Brenda have successfully managed both local and national advertising and marketing initiatives, working alongside clients such as Future Shop, Fitness Town, the Canadian Gene Cure Foundation, Leahy Music, the District of West Vancouver, Homeworks Services Inc., Pennzoil Quaker State US, NAPA Canada and DDB Canada.
In addition to the two principals, our team consists of a variety of Search Engine Optimization specialists; Paid Search Advertising experts; Web Designers and Developers; and Flash Developers and Programmers.
What's in a name?
We're often asked for the story behind our name. Truth be told, "October 17 Media Inc" is the product of laziness. When we decided to build a company focused on web development and web marketing, we were excited to get started as soon as possible and didn't want to waste any precious time coming up with the perfect name. So we took the company's birthdate, October 17, tacked Media on to the end of it, incorporated, and voila... a name that has become surprisingly memorable! :)
